Developer/Programmer

Job Description:

We are a small but rapidly growing company looking for a full time PHP Developer. The ideal candidate will have superb knowledge in programming and development. You will be involved with developing new applications and continuing to improve our existing systems as well as managing web server and IT infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Subject-matter expert in internet software development
  • Advanced knowledge of PHP, MySQL, ActionScript, Java, JSP, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, DOM, Active X, Video Streaming technologies and associated editing programs
  • Creative problem solving ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and be adaptable to the demands of all levels and types of production duties
  • Capable of managing peer-level developers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of understanding business objectives, able to translate business goals into technical design

Responsibilities:

  • Lead role in application development and integration of end-user digital products
  • Lead role in designing and maintaining PHP/MySQL systems architecture
  • Training and mentoring development staff
  • Responsible for analyzing assigned tasks, providing accurate work estimates, and managing own time and that of developers to keep development on schedule
  • Code and system documentation

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in software development
  • Successful track record of web development projects
